Children Obey Your Parents

 Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

For we to honor our father and our mother is to observe the commandment of God, and keep them in our hearts.Children obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. Honor your father and your mother. This is first commandment: if you honor your father and your mother things will go well with you and you will have a long life on earth. Father, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die if you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from sheol.

My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, bind them in your heart always; tie them around your neck. When you walk, they will lead you, when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will speak with you. For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and reproofs of discipline are the way of life. 

Raising our children in obedience is working on their favor, for how can a child cannot obey to a parent that he can see and will he obey a parent that he cannot see?
